It's sad to say that this is my last week here at the RNS office in Washington, D.C. Hopefully this does not mean that I will stop writing for them, however. As the editor let me know upon arriving, his goal is to turn me into an "ink-stained wretch" (a.k.a.: a journalist).
Well, there's always blogging. On that note...
Tuesday, 3 August, "Liturgy and Puppets." So apparently massive puppets are becoming quite popular among mainline liturgies.....? The video is the best part.
Wednesday, 4 August, "Religion: Jedi Knight." About the growing trend of people putting "Jedi Knight" as their religious affiliation in national surveys in Canada, UK, and elsewhere.
Thursday, 5 August, "Dogs of Glory." Watch at your own risk. When worship music becomes just a bit too creepy.
Friday, 6 August, "Project Hijab." A great project by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. Compilation of short videos by women around the world who talk about why they do or do not wear the head coverings.
