I have friends

I know I have close friends when they send me e-mails with links that tell me the following:

Median starting pay: $34,700
Mean mid-career pay: $54,400

To add insult to injury, #8 is education. That's great: the two things that I hope to combine in my future career.

Well, at least I will be happy, even if I will be poor.

  1. Alfredo,
    I'm curious.
Would you share your career objectives with your readers? Do you plan to enter the ministry/priesthood, become a missionary, teach religious studies, or start your own religion/cult?

  2. Ah, I don't mind at all. Academia is where I shall find my niche. I have been an aspiring teacher for many a year, and hope to make that my life.

Just took a Myers-Briggs test, and it said that I should do just that: teach. So that feels good, even though it's composed of yes/no questions.

  3. Thanks Alfredo.

I wish you the best of luck on your career choice.
I hope you apply your talent and education to teaching a subject that has value in the 21st century, such as "the history and decline of religion in Western culture"; or "religion's role in the subjugation of women and the truncating of civil rights in an evolving liberal society" -- and not promoting the archaic supernaturalism inherent in religion.
